The Content and Distribution team at 343 was tasked in creating designs for many large projects like Esports and Master Chief Collection, but we worked on a lot of smaller yet equally important pieces. Below are various examples of that.

343 IS HIRING

Several other teams at 343 wanted to promote when the company was hiring. We wanted images that included a diverse and fun crowd. Me and several others on the team were tasked with figuring out which locations the pictures should be taken, scheduling photo shoots and asking 343 employees to participate in the shoots.

After the photos were taken, I oversaw the production timeline for the overlay design and seeing that these photos were released in a timely manner.

343 EMPLOYEE SPOTLIGHT

The Operations Manager at 343 came up with the idea of spotlighting an employee once a month and letting the Halo community get to know us a little bit. It’s basically a cooler version of employee of the month. After the photos were taken, I had to ensure that a designer on our team sized and color corrected everything accordingly. I then had to double check the work, label photos correctly, and have them sent out by the previously agreed upon milestone.

BACKWARDS COMPATIBLE

In September of 2017, it was announced that four Halo Xbox 360 titles - Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary, Halo 3, Halo 3 ODST, and Halo 4 - would be backwards compatible (designs that are compatible with previous versions of itself) with the Xbox One and are accompanied with all of their DLCs. I had to oversee production and how an image combining all of the announced Halo titles could best convey this.

HALO 5 CONTENT UPDATE: OVERTIME AND LOCAL SERVER

Overtime is the 11th free content update for Halo 5. This update includes new game modes, weapon skins, and a simultaneous rollout of Local Server. With Local Server, gamers can host and play multiplayer matches in Halo 5 on Xbox One. Gameplay traffic is transmitted over the local network and reducing internet bandwith requirements.

I oversaw production on the creation of brand new key art for Overtime and for Local Server. Afterwards, I had to ensure that all of the images were sized correctly, labeled properly, and distributed within the production timeline.

HALO SUPPORT

Employees at 343 wanted to create a Twitter account specifically dedicated to answering questions and supporting gamers who are experiencing technical issues with any of the Halo titles. It was requested of my team to create a banner, profile picture, and an icon representing work that is currently being done. I oversaw production on this and made sure all iterations were done in a timely manner.
